MUMBAI: As Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities continue, many celebrities have expressed their views on it. According to UN estimates, about 6.5 million people have been internally displaced in Ukraine since the war began. Hollywood legend Arnold Schwarzenegger recently posted a video appealing among civilians who come under attack every day in Ukraine. He addressed Russian President Vladimir Putin directly and asked him to stop the war.
Arnold Schwarzenegger stepped up in support of Ukraine while he spoke directly to the people of Russia in a recent video. In the nine-minute-long video, the Terminator actor addressed the people of Russia as well as President Vladimir Putin. Arnold begins the video by asking the people of Russia to give him a few minutes and listen with an open heart. The actor said- ‘I am speaking to you today because there are things going on in the world that are being kept away from you, terrible things that you should know about.’

Arnold also pointed out that ‘his father did not want him to idealize a Russian man as he fought against him in World War II as a soldier in the Nazi army. It did not matter to me which flag Yuri Vlasov raised. The strength and heart of the Russian people have always inspired me. So I hope you will tell me the truth about the war in Ukraine and what is happening there.’ The actor said that 141 countries have voted against Russia in the United Nations.

Arnold Schwarzenegger addressed the Russian President directly and said, ‘To President Putin, I say: You started this war. You are leading this war. You can stop this war. The world has seen your bravery. We know that you have had to face the consequences of your courage. You have been arrested. You have been jailed and you have been beaten up. You are my new hero.
