Nashik : On Thursday, 164 ST buses made 550 ferries in the district. On the one hand, ST employees’ strike is going on, while on the other hand, on the basis of the available staff, efforts are being made by the ST Administration to remove the problems of the passengers. Meanwhile, action has been taken to sack 22 striking employees of the district. In this way, 260 employees have been fired so far. Chargesheet has been filed against 54 employees.
ST employees have been on strike for the last three months demanding merger in government service. Many striking workers have returned to work after the pay hike. Action is being taken against the employees who are still sitting on strike by the administration to be fired. Travel facility is being provided through contract, retired employees, technical and service employees so that the common passengers do not suffer due to the strike. But so far many depots have not been started at full capacity. There is not enough income from there. Now the administration is trying to increase the frequency of the bus.

Begging movement of striking employees
When the strike was not resolved, the workers organized a begging movement on Republic Day on behalf of the employees to get the government’s attention towards their demand. During this, the striking employees have appealed to the government to support the demand, while making efforts with the government for the merger of political parties with the government service.
Government and employees both adamant
On one hand the government has made it clear about the merger of STs, it cannot do so. On the other hand, ST employees still sitting on strike are not ready to listen to anything. Meanwhile, by keeping people on contract, the government has given a message to the striking ST employees that they are not going to bow down to the strike.
