After the withdrawal of foreign forces from Afghanistan, the responsibility of security has come to the Afghan Security Forces. Afghan security forces are also seen fulfilling this responsibility very well. Security forces killed more than 900 Taliban fighters in the last four days. A spokesman for the Afghan Security and Defense Forces said on Sunday that 967 Taliban fighters were killed and more than 500 wounded by security forces in the past four days. This action of Afghan security forces on Taliban fighters has happened in different parts of the country.
General Ajmal Shinwari said that conflict is going on in more than 20 provinces and there is a high level of threat in nine cities. He said that the situation is likely to improve. We assure you and I say as a military general that all Afghanistan regions will be bravely defended. According to the Interior Ministry, Afghan forces took back control of Sorakh-e-Parsa district in Parwan and Melstan district in Ghazni in the last 12 hours. But according to sources, the center of Chakhansur district in Nimroj once again came into the hands of Taliban.
Clashes in Talukan city worsened the situation
Heavy clashes have been reported on the outskirts of the town of Talukan in the northeastern province of Takhar. This has raised concerns from residents who say the city has been under constant attack by the Taliban for the past two weeks. A resident of the talukan says that the situation is worsening day by day. Shops are closed. Mortars and Taliban firing have engulfed people’s homes. Another resident said, the government should make efforts to get the city out of this situation. Takhar Provincial Council chief Wafiullah Rahmani said the people supported government forces in their campaign to prevent the Taliban from taking over the city.
Bombs raining on Kunduz city through Taliban drone
In the city of Kunduz in the north, residents said the situation there was dire and feared a Taliban attack. Farzana, a resident of Kunduz, who was injured in the Taliban attacks, said that my house is in the number one area of Kunduz city. I have had to be displaced. My house has been attacked with mortar. Two of our family members have been killed and four others have been injured. At the same time, apart from the concerns of insecurity on the outskirts of Kunduz city, another deep concern is that Taliban drones are continuously dropping bombs in the area. Local sources said heavy fighting broke out between security forces and the Taliban in the Nijrab district of Kapisa, about 100 km north of Kabul.
