Clashes in Talukan city worsened the situation
Heavy clashes have been reported on the outskirts of the town of Talukan in the northeastern province of Takhar. This has raised concerns from residents who say the city has been under constant attack by the Taliban for the past two weeks. A resident of the talukan says that the situation is worsening day by day. Shops are closed. Mortars and Taliban firing have engulfed people’s homes. Another resident said, the government should make efforts to get the city out of this situation. Takhar Provincial Council chief Wafiullah Rahmani said the people supported government forces in their campaign to prevent the Taliban from taking over the city.
Bombs raining on Kunduz city through Taliban drone
In the city of Kunduz in the north, residents said the situation there was dire and feared a Taliban attack. Farzana, a resident of Kunduz, who was injured in the Taliban attacks, said that my house is in the number one area of Kunduz city. I have had to be displaced. My house has been attacked with mortar. Two of our family members have been killed and four others have been injured.
