WhatsApp has announced that from November 1, users will not be able to use it in smartphones with some older versions of Android, iOS and KaiOS. The company has advised that if users want to keep their chat history safe, then they will have to back up their chat history before installing WhatsApp on the device.

WhatsApp has said that people whose smartphones have Android 4.0.4 and older version will not be able to use it from November 1. You can use WhatsApp on phones running iOS 10 and above. WhatsApp will be disabled from November 1 on all iPhones running operating systems older than iOS 10. WhatsApp will work on KaiOS 2.5.0 or updated operating systems including Jio Phone and Jio Phone 2.
