The mother and father of a lady seen limping after a Land Rover crashed into a faculty in Wimbledon seemed “absolutely shell-shocked”, earlier than an eight-year-old lady was confirmed to have died within the incident.

“They seemed completely shell-shocked, and could not converse. I simply stated: ‘Are you okay?’ And her dad nodded his head.
“The child couldn’t speak at all.
“They could not inform us what had occurred.
“He shook his head again – looked absolutely shocked.”

A girl in her 40s has been arrested on suspicion of inflicting dying by harmful driving and stays in custody.
Beltrao stated the small personal ladies’ college is about in a “beautiful location” overlooking the Wimbledon Common and a golf course.
“It is not what you expect to happen round here,” she stated.
“It’s nowhere near a main road, it’s right in the middle of Wimbledon Common, just a mile or so away from the tennis.”
She described a “massive” response with at the very least 20 ambulances, an air ambulance and firefighters on the scene.
