Mark Zuckerberg has accused Elon Musk of not being severe in regards to the pair having a cage combat – and says it’s time to “move on” from the saga.
The Facebook co-founder stated his tech billionaire counterpart didn’t seem to wish to undergo with the highly-anticipated conflict after failing to even agree on a date.
It comes following months of back-and-forth between the pair ever since Musk, 52, first urged the concept – just for Zuckerberg, 39, to unexpectedly reply that he was ready to battle his rival.
But doubts have been raised if Musk is prepared to undergo with the bout after claiming final week that he could need to delay it as a result of he could be having again surgical procedure.
He then requested a follow combat first.
But on Sunday Zuckerberg urged he had now given up hope of the combat ever taking place.
He wrote on his social community website Threads: “I think we can all agree Elon isn’t serious and it’s time to move on.
“I provided an actual date. [Ultimate Fighting Championship president] Dana White provided to make this a legit competitors for charity.
“Elon won’t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead.”
He added: “If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, time to move on. I’m going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously.”
Earlier on Sunday, Musk posted a screenshot on his social media website X, previously often known as Twitter, of a textual content dialog between the 2 males.
According to the submit, Mr Zuckerberg wrote: “If you still want to do a real MMA [mixed martial arts] fight, then you should train on your own and let me know when you’re ready to compete.
“I do not wish to maintain hyping one thing that may by no means occur, so you must both resolve you are going to do that and do it quickly, or we should always transfer on.”

Mr Musk replied: “I will probably be in Palo Alto on Monday. Let’s combat in your Octagon”.
“I’ve not been working towards a lot… whereas I believe it is rather unlikely, given our dimension distinction, maybe you’re a modern-day Bruce Lee and can one way or the other win.”
Last week Mr Musk urged the deliberate cage combat may happen in an “epic location” and claimed he had been in talks with the Italian authorities about internet hosting the occasion.
But Zuckerberg responded by saying he was “not holding his breath”.
He added: “I love this sport and I’ve been ready to fight since the day Elon challenged me.
“If he ever agrees on an precise date, you will hear it from me. Until then, please assume something he says has not been agreed on.”
