Often people like to connect to a WiFi network at a neighboring or public location to save their internet data. However, there is a risk in doing so. Some people name their Wi-Fi with strange characters such as %$%^&*(@^!t or p%s%s%s%s%s%nc. In this case iPhone users have to deal with strange WiFi networks. Warnings are being given that this can damage the wireless connectivity of their phone.
As per the latest information, a bug has been identified which can often be present in such strangely named networks that can hang your phone once you connect, steal data and cause your phone to crash. The newly spotted bug can affect the WiFi working capacity of your handset even if it cannot be rebooted. The only way to fix this is to reset your network settings.
Some experts believe that this is because iPhones get confused with the percentage sign (%) at the beginning of WiFi’s name. They think that iPhones can interpret it as a command signal rather than as normal text.

what is the way to escape
Overall, if you use public Wi-Fi then you are in the eyes of hackers. However, if used carefully, we can protect ourselves from the tricks of hackers. The best way to avoid this problem is to never connect to strange looking WiFi networks that you are not familiar with.
However, if your phone has also become a victim of this bug, then first of all go to the phone’s settings and reset it (Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings). In the meantime, select Reset network settings and then confirm. When your iPhone restarts, you can set up your WiFi again. Doing so will remove your previous WiFi passwords and settings.
