As per the iMore report, Emma Mohr-McClune, Director of Technology Services at data analytics and consulting firm GlobalData, has predicted that Apple will keep the eSIM-only option as well as the nano-SIM slot option in the iPhone 14 series.
Emma Mohr-McClune has also said that the iPhone maker will give telcos the option to sell the new e-SIM-only iPhone version as well as “more cellular business-friendly dual eSIM/physical SIM support models”.
The report, which surfaced last month, cited documents that suggested Apple had suggested major US telecom operators to develop e-SIM-only smartphones by September. This then indicated that the iPhone 14 series would come with an e-SIM-only option.
In addition, the iOS 15.4 beta brings information about a new ‘trade-in tool’ that will scan iPhone models for cosmetic damage. As reported by 9to5Mac, there are hints in the iOS code with new tool development that could be used in the iPhone camera. It will scan and provide information about scratches, dents and broken glass.
This tool will help in getting the right trade-in value to the customers who are exchanging their old iPhone for new iPhone.
