Google has removed indigenous social media app Bolo Indya from the Play Store on a copyright complaint made by music company T-Series. Super Cassettes Industries Pvt Ltd, which operates under the T Series brand name, had sent notices to social media and video sharing platforms for damages caused by its use of copyrighted content about a year ago. In this, he was asked to pay about three and a half crore rupees. While most of the companies have settled the matter with T-Series, the case of Bolo Indya is not settled.
Neeraj Kalyan, president of T-Series, said that Bolo Indya has been making mistakes over and over and they have sent him several legal notices, but they still infringe on their copyrights, and therefore they have asked Google to do so under appropriate laws. Wrote to remove the app from the App Store. They further said that they take copyright infringement very seriously and to protect it, they will not stop taking more strict action against Bolo Indya and any other such platform.
Bolo India hopes to be back soon
A Bolo Indya spokesperson said that the company is not available on the Google Play Store due to some conflict with T-Series. He said that T-Series has acted with a bad attitude by ignoring the company’s communication about licensing of content and by this move they are harassing startups in their early stages. The spokesperson said that they will always work closely with the ecosystem and comply with all laws. However, they are in talks with T-Series and Google to resolve the matter at the earliest and the platform will be back on the Play Store soon.

Bolo India has around 7 million users. The spokesperson said that they assure their users that all the content created by them and the transaction details of in-app purchases are secure and they will be back on the Play Store soon. Google has not commented on the matter.
