This feature of YouTube is already available on mobile and web and now users will be able to use it on Android TV and enjoy good content.
Google is widely rolling out support for playback speed control on YouTube for Android TVs. Provides additional support for controlling playback speed and allows users to slow down or speed up the video based on their preferences.
As reported by 9to5Google, this is a feature that has been available on the YouTube website and mobile app for a long time, but is now available on TVs as well. This option appears under the Extended Settings menu.
The report states that once you click on it, you will have the option to adjust the playback speed from 0.25x speed to 0.5x, 1.25x, 1.5x and double speed. Apart from this, it is said that it is offered with 0.75x and 1.75x options different from other platforms, but it is still progressing in the right direction.
Playback speed controls on YouTube for TV are however not a completely new feature and are only currently offered on the Android TV/Google TV port. This option was earlier rolled out on almost identical apps on LG, Samsung and other TV platforms. YouTube for Android TV is also testing adding video descriptions and other channel shortcuts to the video player for some users.
Loop option will be available in mobile version soon
The news of the inclusion of a loop video option in the mobile version of YouTube has come to the fore. With its help, users can now repeat their current playing content as long as they want. This loop button has been around for a long time in the desktop version of YouTube, but it is the first time it has been included on mobile devices.
A few days ago, a 9 to 5 Google report said that according to Droidimage, this option was added a few days back. You will be able to see it while watching a video on YouTube.
The report further said, “Playing a long music mix video on loop is something that users have been looking for for a long time. This will get rid of pressing the repeat button again and again.
