The prestigious Rockefeller Foundation has suggested a strategic action plan not only to control COVID-19 in India but also to deal with any other wave of Pandemic in future. Rockefeller has released a report on the subject of ‘Covid-19 Test in India and Further Framework for Detection’ which has been prepared in collaboration with experts and other reputed institutes.
The report underscores how India can at this time strengthen its ability to investigate and detect the infected, stop the rise in cases and control them amid fears of some kind of wave in the future Can do. For this, the institute has stated the need to focus on five important opportunities to develop an appropriate, economical and measurable method for dealing with COVID-19.
Sero survey should be conducted in a planned manner
The report said that to effectively protect people from COVID-19, investigation and patient detection strategies should be further strengthened with the availability of a wide variety of investigations with clear guidelines, well-planned sero- Surveys (mass tests) should be conducted, regulatory methods should be established and new screening technologies should be quality tested, everyone got a chance to be examined in a similar manner and efforts should be made to build a genome chain.
It states that the capacity, availability and reach of investigation should be improved through collective procurement by forming a consortium through the center. This will reduce the cost of investigation by one third. The report recommends encouraging domestic production of test kits and controlling check prices.
