GizmoChina has reported citing IT Homes report that Wang Jun has said that Huawei is basically proficient in the telecommunication field and has more than 30 years of experience in ICT technology. He says that this experience will greatly benefit the company as this technology enters the smart car industry.
As we mentioned, at the event, Wang also confirmed that the company is not aiming to make its own car. Instead, Huawei will focus on making hardware parts to help other automotive companies build better cars. For this, the company has partnered with BAIC, Changan and GAC, one of the largest EV manufacturers in China.
In Wang’s view, the next five to ten years will see a major change in the car industry, and companies will make tremendous use of software capabilities. Apart from investing heavily in intelligent driving technology, the company is also investing in intelligent cockpits, he added. For this, the company will take the help of HarmonyOS ecosystem.
Let us tell you, the biggest example is the recently launched Huawei AITO M5, which has been developed jointly by Huawei and SERES. The car gets a 10.4-inch instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which runs on HarmonyOS and supports 3D face recognition.<!–
