- Any employee can return to the job with dismissal
Nagpur. The government may have given time till March 10 to all the striking ST employees to return to the job, but the rumors of some workers leaders are getting confused. Such employees are also meeting the top officials every day for the resolution of their doubts where they are being counselled. The largest number of these employees are those workers who have been dismissed by the ST Mahamandal. They suspect that after returning to the job, a fine of 5 to 10 lakhs can be imposed on them.
In this case, the officers of ST Mahamandal say that the employees who work in the corporation. They can all return to work. Out of 2,500 employees who went on strike, the number of sacked people is around 386. The Transport Minister has made it clear that by March 10, any employee can return to the job. No action will be taken against him, but even after this, many employee leaders are being accused of misleading the employees. That is why the employees are contacting their respective depots so that the truth can be ascertained.
Waiting for the decision of the committee
ST Mahamandal management is waiting for the decision of the 3-member committee formed to solve this matter. If sources are to be believed, it is clear from the stand of the government that ST Mahamandal will not be merged with the state government. Signs of this have been found many times. The government wants that around 20 percent of the investment in the Mahamandal should come from private firms so that expensive buses can be bought. If the buses run more, then the corporation will also get income. Anyway, the corporation does not have enough funds to buy luxury buses. It is still running in a loss of more than 50 crores which the officials are trying to recover.
17,534 traveled in 105 buses
On Tuesday, 105 buses were operated by ST Mahamandal. Of these, 25 buses were run from Ganeshpeth, Imamwada- 26, Ghat Road-18, Umred-5, Saoner-11, Vardhman-14, Ramtek-1 and Katol. These buses made 342 ferries covering a distance of 30,425 km. 17,534 people traveled in these buses. Let us tell you that for the last 3 months, people of private buses in rural areas are cutting silver by charging arbitrary fare. They are facing a lot of trouble in daily commuting. If ST buses start next month then they will also be able to save money over time.
