In every smartphone these days there are many such games which are paid. In such a situation, your entire account can be empty due to one mistake. Therefore, be careful before ever giving the phone in the hands of children.
Kids Generated Lakh Bill
Playing games on the iPhone became so expensive for a doctor that he had to pay a bill of Rs 1.33 lakh in the end. The doctor’s son started playing games on the iPhone and there were many things that he kept on buying. In such a situation, in the end, the doctor had to sell his family car, after which he was able to cover the bill. This case is from North Wales, UK, where 7-year-old Ashaz played Dragon’s Rise of Burke on an iPhone.
The doctor’s son played this game for a total of 1 hour. During this time, he got so much lost in this game that he bought everything that was available from the game, which are often paid. In the end, when the doctor came to know that the total purchase of his son has gone up to Rs 1.33 lakh, he was shocked.
Father Muhammad Mutaza did not know about this till the end. The 41-year-old consultant endocrinologist was shocked to learn that the free version of the game allows players of such a young age to buy unlimited. In a conversation with Daily Mail, he explained how the game allowed players to transact any amount up to Rs. The game is for children of four years and above, so the doctor was shocked to see how a small child can be allowed to spend such a huge amount.
Muhammad at first thought that he had been deceived. Because when he read his emails he found that many transactions were too many. Muhammad complained about this to Apple, after which the company returned him (about Rs 21,000). Of course, the remaining bill was still huge and to cover the cost, Muhammad had to sell his Toyota Eygo car. Now he is planning to fight the charges in court.
He further said that after the purchase of his child, his credit card amount was completely exhausted. But the question here is, the company is earning money with the help of children. He says that children’s games which are free, they should not give any such permission of money and should not do any transaction. Although such transactions are password protected through iTunes, Muhammad said that his son may have seen and remembered the password once before. But here the biggest question arises that, how can a 7 year old child cross so many passwords and systems and make this purchase. So is there any problem in the system?
