QUINCY — For 91 years, Patriot League foes Quincy and North Quincy have delivered one basic after the following, and Ben Hudach grew to become the newest member to etch his identify into Raiders lore.

Then, it was Hudach’s time to shine. The senior corralled a five-yard landing move from Galligan with 6:28 to play within the half. He adopted issues up later with a two-yard landing scamper as North Quincy took a 27-6 lead with 4:35 remaining within the third quarter.
“I work really hard, man,” Hudach stated afterward. “I love this school, have a lot of passion. I just love it here. The community really backs us all up, and you get that ‘NQ’ pride. Our senior group, we all have that. We all came together. We’ve had the same group for all four years. We just worked hard. From youth, up. It’s just remarkable how we came out on top. Such an awesome game.”
Hudach rushed for a nine-yard landing with 9:46 left in regulation, placing a cap on his epic day as North Quincy seized a 43-14 lead on the time.
Nate Goff completed with 58 yards passing and a landing for Quincy, whereas Leo Steinberg (70 yards dashing, landing) and Owen Desmond (31 yards dashing, landing) added a spark for the Presidents.
“Last year was kind of a heartbreaker,” stated Craig. “We played right up to the end. We threw it to the end zone on the last play, and we came up just a little bit short. (It left) a sour taste in our mouths, and we used that as fuel in the offseason. We brought that back this year, and these kids really stepped up.”
