LAS VEGAS — The Patriots may have had a unique end result Sunday towards the Raiders if solely large receiver DeVante Parker may have caught a deep cross from quarterback Mac Jones down the left sideline on second-and-11 with 1:59 left within the recreation.
Parker obtained behind the Raiders protection and obtained his palms on Jones’ cross however couldn’t haul it in late within the 21-17 loss.

“Probably hit my fingertips, I think,” Parker mentioned. “But I didn’t get a full grasp of it.”
Parker was requested if he believed he may have caught Jones’ cross.
“I think so,” he mentioned. “I mean, fingertips, so I don’t know. But.”
Parker, who the Patriots signed to a contract extension this offseason, caught one 7-yard cross on three targets.
Head coach Bill Belichick was requested what he noticed on the play.
“Yeah, I was on the other side of the field,” he mentioned.
Jones understood the importance of his goal to Parker going incomplete.
“DP’s a great deep-ball threat,” Jones mentioned. “We kind of agreed that we wanted that route. Just tough, tough play. If it goes one way we might go down there and win. If it goes the other way, we didn’t. It’s just tough. It’s football. But at the end of the day I have a lot of trust in the receivers and I felt like their energy this week was really good, and they’ve been very confident that they can get open and catch the ball and they’ve shown that at times for sure.”
The Patriots dedicated a delay of recreation penalty on the following snap. Then Jones was sacked by defensive finish Maxx Crosby in the long run zone for a security, successfully ending the competition.
