Ellie Bouchard’s third objective of the sport within the second additional time gave No. 1 Uxbridge (22-0) a 3-2 win over fourth-seeded Monomoy throughout a discipline hockey traditional.
Girls soccer
Avery DePaul scored with 9 minutes remaining off a Shea Kelleher help as No. 10 Silver Lake (10-3-8) superior to the Div. 2 state last with a 1-0 win over No. 3 Minnechaug.
Boys soccer
Justin Cao tallied the game-winner within the second additional time as No. 2 Sutton (14-3-4) edged Douglas 1-0 in a Div. 4 state semifinal.
Volleyball
No. 2 seed Tewksbury (20-4) made fast work towards No. 3 seed Newburyport with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-14, 25-22) victory in a Division 3 state semifinal. Tewksbury was led by the efficiency of senior Carrina Barron, who completed the sport with 17 digs, 15 kills and 4 aces, whereas Olivia Cueva had 5 aces and Vanessa Green had 5 kills.
“I am so unbelievably excited and proud of these girls and all that they have accomplished this season. This is the first time in program history that we have made it this far so I am feeling very honored and excited, and all of the things right now,” stated Redmen head coach Alli Luppi.
Tewksbury will now play for its first state championship title this weekend towards top-seed Dennis-Yarmouth.
Football
Bishop Feehan’s Bryan Pinabell was named because the New England Patriots High School Football Coach of the Week after his crew knocked off beforehand unbeaten Revere to advance to the Div. 2 state semifinals.
