Muscat, Former England captain and batting star Kevin Pietersen has criticized his team’s 0-4 defeat in the recently concluded Ashes series in the Indian Premier League. Pietersen, who was part of the team that won the Ashes series in 2005, 2009, 2010-11 and 2013, laughed at this, saying, “It is stupid. You can’t blame IPL for going trough Test cricket in England. this is madness. I have reacted a lot to this. England’s cricket system is lacking for this. There is something wrong with county cricket.”

Pietersen, representing the ‘World Giants’ in the ‘Legends League Cricket’ here, said on Thursday, “It is madness to blame the Indian Premier League because if you look at the Test team, maybe (Ben) Stokes (Johnny) Only Bairstow and (Jos) Buttler play in the IPL. Pietersen, who was a part of the Delhi franchise in the IPL, said, “Rarely a player from the Test team plays IPL. So how can you blame the IPL? You can’t blame IPL. this is madness.”
Wildlife conservationist Peterson lauded India as a global leader in the campaign to save the one-horned rhinoceros.
