The Chicago Cubs’ 2024 season will kick off on the highway.
The Cubs open away from Wrigley Field for the primary time since 2019, once more in Arlington, Texas, towards the Rangers. They are scheduled for a three-game collection at Globe Life Field (March 28, 30-31) as a part of the tentative 2024 schedule launched Thursday.
The White Sox, in the meantime, play host to the Detroit Tigers as a part of a six-game homestand to start the season.
The Cubs and Sox are a part of eight video games for the normal opening day March 28. The Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres play Major League Baseball’s first video games of the season March 20-21 in Seoul, South Korea, the primary time MLB is taking part in big-league video games within the nation.
As a part of their interleague schedule, the Cubs and White Sox play a pair of two-game collection at Wrigley Field (June 4-5) and Guaranteed Rate Field (Aug. 9-10).
The Cubs host interleague video games versus the Houston Astros, Los Angeles Angels, Minnesota Twins, Toronto Blue Jays, Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees and Oakland Athletics. Their interleague highway collection will take them to the Rangers, Seattle Mariners, Boston Red Sox, Tampa Bay Rays, Baltimore Orioles, Kansas City Royals and Cleveland Guardians.
The Sox will welcome the Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, Washington Nationals, Los Angeles Dodgers, Colorado Rockies, Pittsburgh Pirates, and the New York Mets to Guaranteed Rate Field for interleague play. Their interleague highway collection ship the Sox to the Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals, Milwaukee Brewers, Arizona Diamondbacks, Miami Marlins, San Francisco Giants and San Diego Padres.
Four vacation video games shall be performed at Wrigley subsequent season: Father’s Day (June 16) versus the St. Louis Cardinals, Juneteenth (June 19) versus the San Francisco Giants, Independence Day (July 4) versus the Philadelphia Phillies and Labor Day (Sept. 2) towards the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The Sox’s lone vacation residence sport comes towards the Blue Jays on Memorial Day (May 27). They play on the Guardians on Fourth of July and on the Orioles on Labor Day.
