Shares of multiplex companies have returned. On Friday, there was a jump in the laser of PVR and Inox. Due to this their prices have reached the highest level of 25 months. The reason for the jump in these stocks on Friday is believed to be the big budget film RRR. Veteran director SS Rajamouli’s film released on Friday.
Share price at 25-month high
Inox’s stock has reached 479 on Friday. Earlier on February 26, 2020, this stock had touched this price. Shares of PVR touched Rs 1,839. Earlier on 28 February 2020, the price of this stock had reached this level.

Shares jump up to 7 percent
At 12:16 on Friday, the share price of PVR was trading at Rs 1853.15 with a jump of more than 4 percent. The share price of INOX was trading at Rs 476.95, up more than 7 per cent. Inox’s stock has risen in five out of the last six sessions. It has gained about 17 percent during this period. The stock has gained 34 per cent so far this year.
Big budget movies
The stock of PVR has gained nearly 22 per cent since March 7. So far this year it has climbed 41 per cent. Here, investors have shown interest in the shares of multiplex companies for some time now. The reason for this is many big films that have come out recently. These include Jhund, Kashmir Files, Bachchan Pandey and now RRR.
Benefits of removing restrictions
After the corona epidemic started in March 2020, the government had imposed many restrictions. The industry which had the biggest impact on it. They also included the multiplex industry. But, now due to the lifting of restrictions, people have started going to see the film again.
RRR made in 300 crores
At least Rs 300 crore is estimated to be spent on making RRR. Ram Charan and junior NTR have played the lead roles in this period drama. It also stars Bollywood’s famous actress Alia Bhatt. Ajay Devgan, who has made a special identity in the audience with a different style of acting, has also worked in it.
The film has been released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. Its good performance at the box office has been anticipated. Many big budget films are going to come ahead. If they get success like Kashmir Files, then the fortunes of multiplex industry will be reversed.
