Navi Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has started the work of conducting a survey using state-of-the-art Lidar technology to collect information about the properties of its area, this work has been appointed by the Municipal Corporation. agency is doing. For this, it has been planned to use drones. To collect information about properties in the municipal area from this survey, 100 employees will be given hands-off training, while 50 employees will be given technical training.
A review meeting was held by the Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Bangar with the concerned agency and the officials of the concerned department of the Municipal Corporation to get information about the survey of properties being done by Lidar technology. In this meeting, the Municipal Commissioner directed the surveying agency to do quality work in stipulated time and complete the first phase work by July 2022. City Engineer of Municipal Corporation Sanjay Desai, Additional City Engineer Shirish Ardvad, Executive Engineer Sunil Lad and representatives of the concerned agency were present in the meeting.

During the said meeting, information about how properties would be surveyed by Lidar technology was presented to the Municipal Commissioner by the agency surveying the properties of the municipal area. The agency told the municipal commissioner that the properties would be directly surveyed by visiting them. A special app will also be prepared for this. The agency told the municipal commissioner that drones would be used to survey the properties from the sky, for which the work of obtaining approvals from various departments of the government is going on on a war footing.
Get accurate information about properties
Lidar technology is going to get accurate information about the properties of the municipal area. Apart from this, information about the municipal area’s water channel, sewage duct, street light and other civic amenities will be available. Which will prove useful for planning for the all-round development of the municipal area. From the middle of the lidar survey, there will be a detailed survey in 360 degrees. Mobile mapping system will be used for this. During this work, the Municipal Commissioner has instructed the agency to count the trees of the municipal area.
Periodic review meetings will be held regarding the work to be done at each stage of the lidar survey. The agency has been directed to complete this work on time. The Engineer Department of the Municipal Corporation has been directed to keep a close watch on the work being done by the agency. This survey will give accurate information about the number of properties in the municipal area. Due to which there is a strong possibility of increasing the income of the Municipal Corporation.
