Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while addressing the convention of Punjabi society at Mohdipur Gurdwara in Gorakhpur on Saturday, appealed to everyone to exercise their franchise judiciously and requested that the entire state The responsibility of development and security rests with them.
The Chief Minister was welcomed by the Gurdwara Committee amidst slogans like ‘Jo Bole So Nihal Sat Shri Akal’ and ‘Jai Shri Ram’. The Chief Minister said that he is seeing this (Punjabi) community working for his election campaign like in the previous elections. He insisted that he would not be physically present in the constituency, as he would have to spend most of the time in other seats in Uttar Pradesh.
Appealing to take forward the model of development and good governance in the state, Yogi said, “The image of the state has improved during the last five years and now the picture of UP has changed.” “Before 2017 the new generation was worried because of the negative image of the state and identity crisis was everywhere, but now they are not facing such challenges when they move out of the state,” the chief minister said.
Yogi claimed that the BJP government has not only controlled Corona, but has also completely stopped migration in western UP. He claimed that now traders are returning and doing business, daughters are going to school and mothers and sisters are safe. Every poor is getting the benefit of welfare scheme without any discrimination.
The Chief Minister also offered prayers at Gopal Mandir in Mohaddipur and took part in door-to-door campaigning in Punjabi Colony, where locals showered flowers on him. In the temple he met two little girls – Tarni and Rishika – and inspired them to study hard. (agency)
