Various measures are being taken by the administration to get rid of the problem of jam. However, the matter of setting up a public transport hub for passenger buses at the site of the toll booths that have been closed for the last 10 years is pending. Traffic jams due to passenger buses and construction of public transport hubs are always demanded for the convenience of the passengers. In this regard, the Maharashtra State Goods and Passenger Transport Association has recently requested the Municipal Commissioner to resolve the pending issue of the public transport hub.
The city of Pune is known as the educational center of the country. At the same time, the city has recently acquired a new identity as an industrial hub and an IT hub. As a result, a large number of migrants from the state as well as from outside the state are moving to and from the city for education or employment. Private passenger buses are seen parked in large numbers on various roads of the city. This creates traffic problem.
