Pimpri: According to the orders of the State Election Commission, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has released the draft of the ward structure for the upcoming elections. Now State Election Commission Secretary Kiran Kurundkar has directed the Municipal Commissioner to complete the work of dividing the voter list according to the geographical boundaries of the constituencies by February 28. With this, the process of general elections in Pimpri-Chinchwad has gained momentum. The code of conduct is expected to be released in March.
For the general elections to the Municipal Corporation, the electoral rolls of the Legislative Assembly published by the Central Election Commission on January 1, 22, should be obtained from the District Collector. This voter list will be available in the form of original and supplementary voter list. Names which have been omitted in the Supplementary Electoral Roll will have the stamp of omission in the original Electoral Roll. This should be taken into account. If there is no such stamp, then after checking it from the supplementary electoral roll, the original voter list should be stamped as such.

The schedule of publication of voter list will be issued separately
Both the original electoral roll and the supplementary list should be separated from the wards. The process of dividing the voter list from the ward of the voter list should be completed on February 28. The State Election Commission has also informed that the schedule of publication of the divided voter list will be released separately.
Information sought for technical staff
The State Election Commission will be given training to prepare control charts for compilation of voter lists through computer system and through them. For this, technical staff and officers should be appointed and their names should be informed to the State Election Commission by February 8. According to the instructions given in the training, the draft voter list can be prepared by uploading the control chart on the website of the State Election Commission. After that, the Election Commission will separately provide the schedule of publishing the voter list. Ward wise voter list division program has been given by the Election Commission. Its work is to be completed by 28 February. For this, the voter list published by the Collectorate on January 5 will be obtained. Municipal Corporation Assistant Election Commissioner Balasaheb Khandekar said that according to the order of the commission, the ward wise voter list will be divided.
67 thousand 276 voters increased
Keeping in view the upcoming municipal elections, the State Election Commission conducted voter registration campaign from November 1 to December 5, 2021. A large number of new voters have been registered in Pimpri, Chinchwad and Bhosari assembly constituencies. As a result of this, a total of 67 thousand 276 voters have been added in the three constituencies. The total number of voters in these constituencies is 14 lakh 32 thousand 340. In this, there are 3 lakh 68 thousand 802 voters in Pimpri assembly constituency, 5 lakh 64 thousand 995 in Chinchwad and 4 lakh 98 thousand 543 in Bhosari assembly constituency.
