Spokesperson said in an emailed statement that the company will not limit the features offered on its platform in the coming weeks.
He said, ‘Instead we will keep reminding users of updates from time to time. We hope that the user wants to interact with any business (business account) or not, it will strengthen this option available with all the users. We will maintain this stance at least with the coming personal data security law in effect.

IT ministry gives 1 week to WhatsApp
In India, at present, some WhatsApp users who have not accepted the new terms of the policy, are facing difficulty in accessing the calling feature. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has last week given WhatsApp a week to withdraw its new terms of service, failing which it will “take the necessary steps as required by law.” The Ministry of Communications had earlier said that WhatsApp’s new service was in violation of the terms of the IT Act. To which WhatsApp replied that the new privacy policy is in accordance with them.
