Ulhasnagar: The voting percentage in Ulhasnagar Assembly is low as compared to other assembly seats in Thane district. Therefore, in view of the apathy of the local people towards voting, the Ulhasnagar Municipal Administration has started a public awareness campaign for all the voters to vote. To make it worthwhile, some unique plan has been prepared.
Priyanka Rajput, Deputy Commissioner of Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation started this campaign by giving masks to journalists at Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation headquarters. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Priyanka Rajput told that this mask has been made by the Election Department of Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation. Every year on 25 January, Voters’ Day is celebrated across the country. This day will also be celebrated in Maharashtra. Apart from this, other programs will also be organized. Along with this, the general elections of the local municipal corporation are also going to be held this year and it has been 75 years since India got independence and we are also celebrating the nectar festival of independence.

Priyanka Rajput said that keeping all these things in mind, these masks are being made and distributed for the purpose of making people aware about voting. Which has been targeted to be distributed in the entire city by January 25. It is written on the mask that I will vote or do it, as well as the logo of the Amrit Festival of Independence and the logo of the Municipal Corporation. He said that the purpose of the scheme of distribution of masks is to make voters aware of voting.
