Have you ever seen a fish swimming in water driving a car on land? Yes, don’t be surprised! If a fish diving in the water starts driving a car on the road, then you will definitely be surprised, but it is true. Israeli scientists have proved this to be true. Scientists have trained a fish named Goldfish to drive inside a water tank, the video of which has gone viral around the world.
So far you must have heard and seen only about cars driven by humans, but Israeli scientists have created a vehicle that can be driven on land by floating fish in water. This special vehicle has been designed to be fish driven. It has been named as a fish operated vehicle (FOV). This creature is able to steer a specially designed vehicle by swimming in different directions in a small tank of water built on the driver’s seat.
The special thing is that there is no one other than Goldfish in the driver’s seat. Using technology, scientists made a fish drive a small car for a long time. Scientists have designed this special vehicle in such a way that in which direction the fish used to see, the car started moving in that direction. According to Reuters, the purpose behind this was to test the ability of animals to determine direction and identify targets.
I am excited to share a new study led by Shachar Givon & @MatanSamina w/ Ohad Ben Shahar: Goldfish can learn to navigate a small robotic vehicle on land. We trained goldfish to drive a wheeled platform that reacts to the fish’s movement (https://t.co/ZR59Hu9sib). pic.twitter.com/J5BkuGlZ34

Scientists from Israel-based Ben-Gurion University (Israeli researchers at Ben-Gurion University) proved with this unique experiment that fish can determine their direction and target even in adverse conditions. It is being claimed that this is the first time in the world that a goldfish has driven a fish operated vehicle. The fish have reached their target in the greed of food.
After this research, it is now completely confirmed that even fish can drive a car with their brain. Originally scientists wanted to know whether the underwater navigation skills of fish worked everywhere. For this, scientists used FOVs made of motor-driven wheels. With the help of a camera, computer and light detection technology, it was able to change direction according to the movements of the fish in the water tank.

Scientists have designed a robotic car on top of which a gold fish is placed in a tank of water and a LIDAR device, which is connected to a computer, to understand the direction of the fish’s mouth. A camera was installed just below the lidar, which understood the direction of the fish’s mouth and gave its instructions to the computer. The computer then turns the robotic car in the same direction according to the direction of the fish’s mouth. To make this trial successful, scientists trained goldfish for a long time.
