Micro-blogging site Twitter has announced that users of its paid Twitter blue tick service can get some new features under the new Labs banner. According to The Verge, Twitter regularly tests new features before its official rollout, but now, the company is working out a new way for some people to test new features.
Twitter’s program features include Pinned Conversations on iOS, which will let you pin Direct Message conversations to the top list, and the ability to post long video uploads from a desktop computer. Users can read more about the labs in the thread from the Twitter blue tick account. The report states that they can only subscribe to Twitter Blue if they are on iOS and live in Canada and Australia, so the Labs features are not yet available in detail.
Twitter promises that Labs will be available in more countries soon. The company said on its website that in the coming times, this service will be available in more places and on Android and the web.
Twitter adds one-click review newsletter signup button
Twitter is building a way for people to sign up for review newsletters directly from Tweets. According to Engadget, when someone shares their review newsletter, the tweet will include a membership button. If someone clicks on the link for a particular newsletter issue, they will see an option to subscribe when they return to their Twitter feed.
The feature is currently live on the web and is coming soon to iOS and Android. Plus, if your Twitter account is linked to an email address, you can sign up to receive newsletter updates with one click. The report states that you will not need to verify your membership through your email inbox. The update will make it easier for people to convert Twitter followers into newsletter subscribers.
