The people of the state will get big gifts from the big decisions taken by the Yogi government in the field of medicine. In the year 2022, UP will be equipped with 14 new medical colleges by the year 2022-2023 along with the operation of BSL to RTPCR lab, CT scan unit, dialysis unit in 75 districts of the state. At the same time, 16 PPP models, two AIIMS, one BHU, one AMU besides 30 private medical colleges are giving wings to the medical services of the state. With the gift of a new medical college to the state in the new year, there will be a reduction in referral cases in the hospitals of the state, while the patients of other districts will not have to visit big hospitals.

Compared to the previous governments, the tenure of the Yogi government has brought a golden era for health services. While there were only 12 medical colleges in the state with a population of 24 crores, before the year 2017, medical facilities were rapidly expanded in UP after the Yogi government took over. The State Government is engaged in equipping each district with medical facilities with ‘One District One Medical College’. By the year 2022-2023, UP is on the way to create a new record in the medical field with facilities like lab, CHC, PHC rejuvenation, establishment of Piku Niku, health ATM.
Foundation stone laying process underway in 14 districts
The process of laying the foundation stone for the establishment of medical colleges in 14 districts is underway. In which Sultanpur, Sonbhadra, Chandauli, Bulandshahr, Pilibhit, Auraiya, Bijnor, Kanpur Dehat, Kushinagar, Gonda, Kaushambi, Lalitpur, Lakhimpur Kheri and Amethi are districts. Medical colleges will be ready in these districts by the year 2022-2023. With this, in the first phase under 16 medical colleges to be built on PPP mode, the state government has approved two private partners for two districts. Medical college with minimum 100 seats will be constructed in private partner in Maharajganj and Sambhal district of the state. The government will also distribute financial incentives as per the policy.
