Pimpri: Tushar Kamthe, known as the firebrand corporator of the ruling BJP, has made a big disclosure through a press conference on Friday after resigning from the post of corporator on the previous day. He has claimed that he is not the only corporator who is angry, while the number of such corporators of BJP is close to 30. He also clarified that his displeasure is not with the party i.e. BJP, but with the local leaders.
Terming the local leaders of the party as contractors, Kamthe has challenged both the MLAs of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s ruling BJP’s ‘in charge’ that what development works have been done in the city from the MLA fund or the budget of the state government? He claimed that all the development works which are being claimed by the MLAs have been done through the Municipal Corporation.

Our displeasure is not with the party, but with the local leaders.
Without mentioning BJP’s ‘in charge’ MLA Laxman Jagtap and MLA and city president Mahesh Landge, Tushar Kamthe targeted them and said that there is no original BJP in Pimpri-Chinchwad, those who have party sources in their hands, they are BJP’s. There are no qualities. The arbitrariness, dictatorship, Hitlerism and corrupt practices of the local leaders have angered many of the party’s corporators. The number of such corporators is 30 and their displeasure is not with the party but with the leaders.
…so I don’t have to resign
He said that if the party had come with him or his side in the corruption case exposed by him, local leaders would have helped him, the time would not have come for him to resign. These corruption cases were also brought to the notice of the top party leader in the state, former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. After exposing corruption in the general assembly, waited for a month. However, no action was taken. Due to this, he gave a complaint to the foster minister of the district Ajit Pawar and a case was registered against the contractor concerned.
Did not give up BJP membership
Kamthe also clarified that he has only resigned from the post of corporator and has not given up the membership of BJP. He said that it has not yet been decided which party to join and it will be decided in eight days. Saying that only water, roads and electricity is not development, Kamthe strongly reprimanded the BJP leaders who were beating the drums of fame on that basis. Rest of the disgruntled BJP corporators are silent as they have some problem. I don’t want a position, I don’t have a problem. That’s why I’m coming forward and talking. From time to time, I have agitated against the corruption of Secure IT Solution Company, on the issue of drinking water on the roads, in the meetings of the Municipal Corporation and when needed, against the corruption of 55 crores.
I did not give up the fast of public service and did not give up
Kamthe said the party’s local leaders and seniors were already apathetic about it and their policy was to harass me from time to time. In protest, I resigned from the post of corporator. He said that the policy of robbing local BJP MLAs and office bearers of the Municipal Corporation’s safe is to create social consciousness. There was hope in the eyes of the people, the same hope of change inspired me and I started working tirelessly, I am a fan of the all-round ideology of Bharatiya Janata Party. I think the views of various leaders at the Center and in the states are development oriented. So over the next five years, I decided that I wanted to do for the people, for the people who believed in me. I was aware of the problems and pain of the people because I had a culture of working on the ground. Raising the basic issue of drinking water, I raised my voice, protested, went on hunger strike and an incredible crowd stood by me. For the last five years, I am trying my best to raise my voice against the corrupt people who embezzle public money, this pain was sitting in my mind for many days, but still I did not give up the vow of public service and did not give up. Agreed.
Ajit Pawar helped
Truly I saw in Ajit Pawar the political acumen and courage that I was looking for in the leaders of the city. Despite the fact that I am a corporator of another party, he immediately heeded to my genuine demand and extended all possible help to me. Even though I have resigned from the post of Corporator, there is no doubt that my commitment towards the people will always remain.
