While India also celebrates a similar commemoration day in memory of its heroes, the National War Memorial or War Memorial is a specially built by the Government of India in the vicinity of India Gate in New Delhi to honor its armed forces. - Four circles have been made one after the other in the layout of the monument.
- The first chakra is ‘Amar Chakra’, the second chakra is ‘Veerta Chakra’, the third chakra is ‘Tyag Chakra’ and the fourth chakra is ‘Rakshak Chakra’.
- Six bronze murals by renowned sculptor Shri Ram Sutar have been installed in the gallery of the Veerta Chakra here.
- For this, six walls have been built in the Chakravyuh style, on which the names of those martyrs have been written on the granite.
- There are rows of more than 600 dense trees in the Rakshak Chakra.
- An ultimate warrior site park has also been built on the northern side of the C-hexagon area of India Gate.
- Bronze statues of 21 Param Vir Chakra winners are installed in this park.
It is noteworthy that the Amar Jawan Jyoti, which has been burning for the last 50 years at India Gate, is not being lit there since January 21. It has now been merged into the flame burning at the National War Memorial.
In front of the sacrifice of these heroes of the country, the whole universe is also bowing down today.
