Wardha, RPF caught three accused who broke Beed’s water pipeline in the Sevagram railway station premises and stolen it.
According to the information received, information about the theft of Beed’s water pipeline laid by the Central Railway at Sevagram railway station from the Dham river was received, on the instructions of seniors, Inspector Vijay Kumar Tripathi of Wardha RPF, Sub-Inspector KN. The team led by Rai laid a trap on 4 January. In-charge constable RK. Choudhary, Tadvi, D.V. Shinde and constable Mustaq carried out the action by siege on the spot.
Where 3 suspects were caught red handed after bursting the pipeline with a hammer and filling the beed pieces in the sacks, after interrogating them in front of the Panches, they confessed the crime of stealing railway property. Rai and the team confiscated 200 kg of goods, worth Rs 8000, a hammer and other materials, filled in 4 gonios, started investigation by bringing the accused to the RPF police station.
In the interrogation at the police station, even before this, the accused, along with other two accomplices, confessed to theft by breaking the pipe and selling the stolen material to a kabadi of Wardha. A case was registered against the accused at Sevagram RPF post.
This action taken under the guidance of Senior Divisional Security Commissioner and Co-Security Commissioner, the three accused will be presented before the court on January 5 for 3 days RPF custody so that the other 2 absconding accused and receiver can be arrested in the first registered case.
