In Britain, a Frog has changed color to blue color for the first time in 700 years. This frog comes from the color-changing species of frogs. Male moor frogs, widely found across Europe, have turned blue on spring. These frogs are doing this to attract females. Two boys hailing from Staffordshire, UK, recorded a picture of the frog changing color on camera.
The two boys named Harvey Twits and Tom Whitehurst run the breeding company ‘Celtic Reptile and Amphibian’. These two played the sound of frogs mingling in a small bath. This made the Moore frogs feel that these people were surrounded by their rivals and they changed colors to attract females. These boys said that this is the first time, in 700 years in Britain, a frog has turned completely blue.
Both boys engaged in preparing the breeding population of reptiles and amphibians
The board member of the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), Ben Goldsmith, funded the project for Harvey Twits and Tom Whitehurst. Goldsmith said that these two boys are preparing a breeding population of reptiles and amphibians native to northern Europe. These creatures are either extremely rare or have disappeared in Britain. He said that the wetlands are now being remodeled in Britain. In such a situation, it will be very nice to settle this species here.
Goldsmith has been in controversy
Last year, Goldsmith was accused of leaving red deer and wild boar on his farm in Somerset, causing considerable damage to his neighbors and land. Environment Secretary George Eustice later admitted that the 39-year-old financier had broken the guidelines to release wild animals. However, even after these disputes, Goldsmith is identified as a wildlife.
