Lucknow: The battle for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections is now reaching its final round in Banaras. Varanasi, which is called the city of Shiva, is going to see a gathering of political stars in the coming days. In the seventh and last phase of the UP elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will stay in Varanasi for three consecutive days to create an atmosphere in favor of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Purvanchal seats. At the same time, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will also address the rally in Varanasi along with Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav.
Not only this, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, Aam Aadmi Party chief Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal and Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati have also made preparations to camp in Varanasi. Apart from Modi, Priyanka Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav and Arvind Kejriwal will also hold rallies and road shows in Varanasi. Along with Akhilesh Yadav, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will also address the rally in Varanasi on March 2. BSP chief Mayawati will also address the rally in Varanasi.
PM Modi’s visit is very important
PM Modi’s visit is also important because this time Suheldev Rajbhar Bhartiya Samaj Party (SubhSP), who was an important ally in the last elections in Purvanchal, joined the Samajwadi Party and joined the backward castes Apna Dal (Communist) and Democratic Revolution. The party has also joined him. In the last elections, SP has been getting more success than Etawah, Mainpuri and Kannauj in central Uttar Pradesh from the adjoining districts of Ghazipur, Azamgarh and Jaunpur in the east. Even in the last 2017 assembly elections, the SP had got satisfactory seats in these districts, despite the poor performance in the entire state.
