Thane : Dr. Vipin Sharma, the first commissioner of the Thane Municipal Corporation’s election, has suddenly come into action. He inspected the road widening work from Nandi Baba Mandir Chowk to Clariant Company Junction in Kolshet and directed to complete the remaining works on time.
On this occasion, Chairman of Standing Committee Sanjay Bhoir, Chairman of Majiwada-Manpada Division Committee Bhushan Bhoir, Senior Corporator Devram Bhoir, Corporator Usha Sanjay Bhoir, Additional Commissioner (1) Sandeep Malvi, Deputy Commissioner Ashok Burpalle, Assistant Commissioner Kalpita Pimple, Executive Engineer Mohan Kalal, Suburban Engineer Ramdas Shinde, Sports Officer Minal Palande were present.

Talking to reporters, Dr. Vipin Sharma said that the road from Nandi Baba Mandir Chowk to Clariant Company Junction in the city would be made 40 meters wide and 1200 meters long. It will have gutters, service ducts, culverts, attractive footpaths and green plants on both sides of the road.
He said that the construction work which hinders the widening of this road is in progress and about 90 percent work has been completed. 80 percent of the land acquisition work has been completed. Presently the work of widening and concreting is going on and today he inspected the road. During this, he directed the Public Works Department of the Municipal Corporation to complete the remaining works of road widening and concreting in time. He also directed MSEDCL to complete the work of transfer and pole transfer on this road at the earliest.
