PatnaRJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday accused the Nitish Kumar regime of Bihar of a complete failure on all fronts, especially job creation, and claimed that there was no ‘double engine’ in the state. The government is not.
It may be mentioned that for the past few years, the BJP has been emphasizing on a ‘double engine government’ and claims that it will ensure rapid growth. The BJP calls the same party governance at the Center and the state as a ‘double engine’ government.
Although Janata Dal (United) leader Nitish Kumar is the Chief Minister of Bihar, his ally BJP has more MLAs than his party. Yadav, the Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, alleged that the Nitish Kumar-led government has failed to fulfill its promises.

“What happened to the Bihar government’s promise of providing 19 lakh jobs to the people in a month? People can’t wait any longer… There is no double engine government in the state.” Before the assembly elections in the year 2020, the BJP had promised 19 lakh jobs to the unemployed in its manifesto. RJD had promised 10 lakh jobs.
Tejashwi Yadav, younger son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad, said, “Recent reports by central government agencies have shown the Bihar government to be a failure on almost all indicators. Whenever the Chief Minister was asked about this, he expressed ignorance. This shows that the Bihar government is not serious about meeting the basic needs of the people.”
He claimed that people would soon stop paying attention to the Chief Minister and his promises. According to NITI Aayog’s National Multidimensional Poverty Index Baseline Report, Bihar ranks in most of the indices like education, nutrition, school attendance, electricity, housing and bank accounts. Performance is bad. Yadav said that the RJD would soon launch a state-wide protest against unemployment in the state.
