Bhopal: Hindu scriptural narrator Tarun Murari, who allegedly used derogatory language criticizing Mahatma Gandhi in the context of the Partition of India, on Wednesday apologized for his remarks after an FIR was lodged in the matter in Madhya Pradesh. .
In a video statement, Murari, the narrator of the Bhagwat Katha, blamed the media persons for “instigating” them. He said his remarks were a momentary provocation though he had no intention of insulting the Father of the Nation.
Murari said, “A journalist spoke impulsively to me which I should not have said. Everyone knows about Mahatma Gandhi and I had no intention of insulting him. I apologize to all individuals, political organizations and administration if anyone has been hurt by my remarks at the moment of provocation.”
