Gondia, Amidst the ongoing strike for the last 50 days over the various demands of the ST workers, the ST bus had reached the Gondia bus station at 1.10 pm on 23rd December carrying 12 passengers from the Bhandara depot. On the second day of December 24, at 11.30 in the morning, once again from Bhandara depot, ST bus reached Gondia depot.
Meanwhile, the ST bus was full of passengers within half an hour as soon as the passengers got to know about the arrival of the ST bus at the bus station. 40 passengers had boarded this bus, which was going from Gondia to Nagpur. After which this bus carrying passengers proceeded via Goregaon, Mundipar, Sakoli, Bhandara.
Here, due to the crowd of passengers slowly gathering at the bus station, there was movement in the bus station which was deserted for the last several days. Here, the agitating ST employees have kept their attitude peaceful regarding the hearing to be held in the court on January 5.
The strategy of the movement will be decided only after the decision of the court. But due to the ongoing strike of ST workers for the last one and a half months, the commuters are facing a lot of problems regarding the traffic. At the same time, due to this strike, ST depot is getting Rs 10 lakh per day. have to bear the loss.
Gondia ST Depot Administrator Sanjana Patle said that there will be two ferries daily from Gondia bus station at 11.30 am and 4 pm. For the journey from Gondia-Nagpur, the fare charged per passenger is Rs 265, which is much less than private passenger vehicles. In view of the problems being faced by the passengers due to the strike, ST buses from Bhandara depot are reaching Gondia depot from Thursday. On the first day, 12 passengers have traveled from Gondia to Nagpur. The bus reached the station at 11.30 am on 24th December, in which 40 passengers have traveled.
