Amravati. The stalled process of division composition approval for the Metropolitan Municipality elections has gained momentum. The call of the Election Commission can come at any time. For which the letter to be prepared has been received from the State Election Commission by the Municipal Corporation. It is worth mentioning that, due to the infection spread in the Election Commission office, the draft process of creation of the Election Division was affected.
Due to which the approval of the draft of many metropolitan municipalities including Amravati and the women’s reservation declaration process is yet to come. The movement to complete this process by the State Election Office has started. With just a letter from the commission, once again the heat has come in the election air.
The format was handed over on 30 November
Prepared the draft of three-member division composition for the proposed municipal elections by the Metropolitan Municipality. But that draft was leaked before reaching the commission. Which is still in dispute. The then commissioner has submitted this draft to the commission on 30 November. The commission then directed the NMC to submit the revised draft on January 5 by suggesting certain criteria and amendments. For which Deputy Commissioner Suresh Patil had gone to present this draft on 5 January.
But then the process was postponed till January 15 after some officers and employees of the commission were found infected with corona at the headquarters of the State Election Commission. But even after the passage of January 15, due to non-receipt of any kind of letter from the Election Commission, the discussions got wind. But the letter of the State Election Commission has indicated to complete the election process at the earliest, putting an end to all the discussions.
