Wardha. Non-conventional energy sources are being promoted due to damage to the environment by conventional energy projects. Due to the government giving priority to solar power generation, 7 lakh 11 thousand electricity is being produced in the district in a month. Due to the increasing pollution day by day, continuous changes are taking place in the environment, due to which the temperature is increasing along with the change in the season cycle.
Coal is used in most of the power generation projects, which harms the environment. In the last few years, the prices of coal are also increasing, the question mark is appearing from time to time on the availability of coal being made available for power generation, as a result the economic burden on the customers is increasing due to the continuous increase in the rate of electricity.
Increased trend towards solar energy in urban areas
The total number of customers installing solar rooftop panels in the district is 727 till the end of December 2021 There are total 727 consumers including 514 in Wardha Department, it includes residential, commercial, industrial and civil service organizations. Consumers who install solar rooftops are mostly citizens of urban areas.
5,94,592 unit bill deposited in electricity bank
727 consumers who installed solar rooftop panels have generated 7 lakh 11 thousand 258 units of electricity in a month. Through this, their 5 lakh 94 thousand 592 unit bills were deposited in the electricity bank, 3 lakh 5 thousand 569 units were billed continuously, the number of solar rooftops is increasing in the district, through which customers are saving.
Waiver of bill from Rs 3.10 per unit
The electricity consumers use is made from solar rooftop panels. Out of this, the remaining units are counted by depositing it in the electricity bank of Mahavitaran. Customers are required to spend the electricity generated from solar rooftop. On depositing 100 units per month, the amount in the electricity bill is waived to the customers according to its 3.10 rupees. 100 If more than one units of electricity is produced, its benefit is not given.
The public is still unaware of the plan
Solar energy is a big option, but the policy of Mahavitaran company is getting weak in making information available to the citizens. Due to high cost on solar energy, many citizens are not ready to start solar power projects. In the beginning, the grant was high. But later due to reduction in grant, it has also affected the scheme.
