Khargone / Barwani: Curfew has been imposed in the entire city of Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone city (MP Khargone Violence) on Sunday following incidents of stone pelting on Ram Navami procession, arson in some vehicles and houses. Also, 77 people have been arrested so far in this entire case. The Shivraj government of the state is seen in action mode. State Home Minister Narottam Mishra said that no one will be allowed to disturb the atmosphere inside the state.
It may be known that on the violence in Khargone on the day of Ram Navami, Madhya Pradesh Minister Narottam Mishra said that 77 people have been arrested so far. SP’s leg got shrapnel, we can also call it a bullet. They are injured. 6 of our police personnel have also been injured. We will not allow anyone to disturb the atmosphere inside the state. Due to the violence, the authorities had imposed curfew in three police station areas of the city and Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) (banning assembly of four or more people) in the entire city.

On the other hand, Khargone District Magistrate Anugrah P said that curfew has been imposed in entire Khargone. Khargone Superintendent of Police (SP) Siddharth Choudhary sustained bullet injuries during the violence, an official said. Following incidents of stone pelting on Ram Navami processions and arson in some houses and vehicles, the police had to use tear gas shells. Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Tilak Singh told reporters on Monday morning, “Since 2 pm, the situation is under control and no complaint has been received. Police patrolling is on, more than 70 people have been detained so far.”
He has asked people to stay indoors and help in nabbing the anti-social elements involved in the incident. The District Magistrate said that the situation is under control and people have been advised to step out of the house only in case of emergency. The District Magistrate has also warned of strict action for sharing objectionable messages or videos on social media regarding the Khargone incident. (with agency input)
