Amravati. Due to the spurt in corona infection in the city and district, now once again all types of government, semi-government and private schools in the metropolitan municipality area as well as in the rural areas of the district, all the schools from class I to VIII have been ordered to be closed. District Collector Pawanit Kaur issued on Thursday. Instructions have been given in the order issued by the District Magistrate to keep the schools of class 1st to 8th offline till January 31 and to continue online education only.
Order not applicable to 9th to 12th schools
Offline study classes of schools from class 9th to 12th are allowed to continue as before. But it is mandatory to strictly follow the Corona prohibitory rules in these schools. This order is applicable for all the schools in the district till January 31.
3 year old child positive
There was a stir in the district health administration after the corona report of a 3-year-old student resident of Rajapeth area of the city came positive. After which the information came to light that the said child kept going to some nursery school in Rajapeth area. After which the Urban and District Education Officer was asked for information on the planning regarding schools, he said that the proposal to close the schools was given to the District Magistrate in the last 3 days. Which was finally approved by the District Magistrate on Thursday.
Strict action for breaking the rules
In view of the increasing infection of Corona, orders have been issued to start online schools from class 1st to 8th for the safety of children. This order will remain in force till January 31. Strict action will be taken against the school management who break the rules.
