Russia is facing global backlash over its attack on Ukraine, meanwhile the head of the Russian Space Agency (Roscosmos) Dmitry Rogozin shared a video on Wednesday, in which workers from the Soyuz rocket at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, America, The flags of Britain and Japan are covered.
However, the workers did not touch the Indian tricolor on the rocket in the 1.52-minute video. “Launchers at Baikonur decided that our rocket would look more beautiful without the flags of some countries,” Rogozin tweeted.
While the US, UK and Japan have imposed severe economic sanctions on Russia, India has refrained from directly criticizing Moscow for attacking Ukraine.
India once again refrained from voting on a resolution against Russia in the session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Wednesday. Instead, the government has called on Russia and Ukraine to work on a peaceful settlement.

Meanwhile, the Russian space agency Roscosmos is refusing to launch the Soyuz rocket, which carries 36 OneWeb internet satellites, as scheduled for Friday, unless the company meets the state agency’s demands. According to CNBC, Rogozin said the ultimatum was a response to Britain’s sanctions on Ukraine against Russia.
Roscosmos said in a statement on Wednesday that until OneWeb meets two demands, the Soyuz rocket will be removed from the launchpad of the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
OneWeb guarantees that the satellite will not be used for military purposes. UK Trade and Energy Secretary Quasi Quarteng said in a statement that there are “no talks” with Roscosmos about OneWeb and that the government is “not selling its share.”
Last week, Roscosmos Chief Dmitry Rogozin warned that severe sanctions on Russia could fall on any country opposing Moscow in its military operation to the International Space Station (ISS) in Ukraine. He asked who would stop the ISS from falling over America, Europe, China or even India?
