The 6-foot-5, 280-pound Buchanan is the second Seminole freshman to be supplied by UCF up to now week. Wide receiver Kenyon Holden acquired a scholarship supply from the Knights final week. UCF signed three gamers from Seminole within the 2022 recruiting class in twin defensive backs Ja’Cari and Demari Henderson and linebacker Kameron Moore.
NFL star Gabe Davis of the Buffalo Bills additionally got here by means of the Sanford-UCF Pipeline, as did former All-AAC honorable point out choice Brandon “Bam” Moore.
Buchanan began seven varsity video games this previous season for a Seminole group that misplaced simply two video games and fell one sport shy of advancing to the Class 8A state championship sport. Seminole misplaced to Apopka within the semifinals.
The UCF supply is Buchanan’s fifth Football Bowl Subdivision scholarship supply. His others are from Penn State, Iowa State, USF and Troy. Head coach for Troy on the time of his supply was Chip Lindsey, who’s now UCF’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
