But the good thing is that 114 of these people have become infection free or have gone to other places. These cases have been reported in 17 states and union territories only.
Here, in view of the ever-increasing cases, on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a review meeting with the state governments. In the meeting, the Center directed the states to maintain their preparedness in the fight against the COVID pandemic and also to follow the 5-fold strategy in view of the new variant Omicron.

Uttar Pradesh: Night curfew and new rules

According to the news received, now curfew will be imposed in Uttar Pradesh from 11 pm to 5 am from December 25. With this, no more than 200 people are now allowed to attend weddings.
It is worth noting that the Allahabad High Court had also expressed its concern over the increasing threat of the new variant of Corona, Omicron. Along with this, the High Court has also made a big appeal regarding the upcoming UP Assembly elections. Under this, the High Court has asked the Prime Minister and the Election Commissioner to consider postponing the elections. At the same time, the High Court said that the Prime Minister should think deeply about this because, ‘If there is life, then there is a world’.
