Republic Day 2022: The whole country is celebrating the 73rd Republic Day with great pomp today. India became independent on 15 August 1947. Which we celebrate as Independence Day. After this we made our constitution and implemented it on 26 January 1950. Which is celebrated as Republic Day. Every citizen of the country should get his right, for this the constitution was implemented in the whole country. Republic Day was celebrated for the first time on 26 January 1950.
The tricolor is unfurled on both these special days, Independence Day and Republic Day 2022. But the rules for celebrating these two days are different. Let us know what is the special difference between the two
On Republic Day, the first citizen of the country i.e. the President joins this program and hoists the flag. It is celebrated at Rajpath in the national capital. This is followed by parades, state tableaux, artillery displays. At the same time, on Independence Day, the ceremony takes place at the Red Fort in New Delhi. After this the Prime Minister hoists the flag and addresses the nation.
This is the way to celebrate both separately
There is a difference in hoisting the tricolor in celebrating both the days. On 15th August i.e. Independence Day, the tricolor is hoisted by pulling upwards. While on Republic Day the flag is tied at the top, it is unfurled there and hoisted.
Flag hoisting is done on 15th August. Whereas on Republic Day i.e. 26 January, it is called flag hoisting and not flag hoisting. But in common parlance, we often use the word flag hoisting on the day of 15th August, which is wrong.
President Ram Nath Kovind addressed the country on the eve of Republic Day, said- fight against Corona continues
The President hoists the thunder on Republic Day. The Prime Minister hoists the flag on Independence Day. The flag is hoisted on the Rajpath on Republic Day. Independence Day flag hoisting is done at Red Fort. The President holds a constitutional post and the Constitution came into force on 26 January 1950. The Prime Minister holds a political position.
The reason for hoisting the flag by the President on Republic Day is also because the President is the constitutional head of the country. The Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950. Dr. Rajendra Prasad was appointed the first President of the country.
