Mumbai. The Third Wave of Corona Pandemic is dying in the country. Similar atmosphere is also prevailing in Maharashtra. Here the cases of corona are continuously decreasing. According to the bulletin issued by the Health Department on Saturday, for the first time in the third wave of corona in the state, less than two thousand cases have been reported. Such few cases have been registered in the state after 89 days.
Active patients less than 20 thousand
According to the Health Department, 1,635 people have been found corona positive in the state in the last 24 hours. Whereas, 29 people have died due to the epidemic. With this, the number of infected in the state has increased to 78,56,994 and the number of dead to 1,43,576. At the same time, after 4,394 people became corona free, the number of people recovering from the epidemic has increased to 76,91,064.

At present there are 18,368 active patients in the state. At present, 2,22,920 patients are in home quarantine and 1,081 in institutional quarantine. Maharashtra recorded a recovery rate of 97.89% and a death rate of 1.82% today.

237 people free Omicron
Not a single new case of Omicron has been reported in Maharashtra for the last three days. However, today 237 people have recovered from the new variant. So far 4,456 people have been infected with Omicron in the state. Out of which 3,768 people were discharged after their RT-PCR test came negative. So far 8,904 samples have been sent for genome sequencing in the state. Out of which the report of 7991 has been received and the report of 913 is awaited.
