Raipur. Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reached Raipur on Thursday on a one-day visit to Chhattisgarh. Gandhi will launch ‘Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana’ and ‘Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club Scheme’ in the state. Senior leaders of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee told here on Thursday that Rahul Gandhi reached Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur by special aircraft at 12 noon.
Gandhi was received at the airport by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, members of his cabinet and senior Congress leaders. Congress leaders said that after the reception at the airport, Rahul Gandhi, Chief Minister Baghel, members of the Baghel cabinet and senior Congress leaders boarded buses and left for the Science College ground, the venue. State Public Relations Department officials said that the Lok Sabha MP will launch the ambitious ‘Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana’ and ‘Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club Scheme’ of Chhattisgarh government at Gandhi Science College ground.
Along with this, to cherish the memories of Mahatma Gandhi, ‘Sevagram’ and ‘Chhattisgarh Amar Jawan Jyoti’ memorial to be established in Nava Raipur will be worshiped. Officials said that Rahul Gandhi will also have lunch with Gandhian thinkers, landless farmers and laborers at the venue. He told that Gandhi will leave for New Delhi by a special plane at 5.10 pm.
