Corona Vaccine: The matter of the prices fixed by the government for corona vaccines for private hospitals has become entangled. On Tuesday, the cost of getting Covaccine, Covishield and Sputinac V vaccines in private hospitals was fixed by the Center. But the Congress has questioned these prices. Congress says that the vaccine (COVAXIN ) There is an Indian vaccine and it has been made at government expense but its cost is high. while sputnik (Sputnik V) Despite being a foreign vaccine, it is being administered at a low cost.
Congress said – foreign vaccine is cheap, indigenous is expensive
Congress spokesperson Gurdeep Singh Sappal has tweeted and said that Sputnik is an imported vaccine. This includes transportation and other import charges. It has not received any economic or policy help from the Government of India in making it. The government has fixed its price in a private hospital at Rs 1145. But Covaccine is an Indian vaccine and is made at government expense, but private hospitals are being allowed to charge Rs 1410 for this.
Sappal said that according to the government 130 crore vaccines of Kovishield and Covaccine are to be made. If 25 percent of these go to private hospitals, then it will be 325 million doses. The government’s purchase is Rs 150. Accordingly, Rs 22,875 crore will go to these companies through private hospitals.
Sputnik is imported. Its price includes transportation & other import charges. It received no monetary or policy support from India for development or manufacturing of vaccine. It’s price is ₹1145.
Covaxin is Indian. No import cost. Expansion expenses borne by GoI. Price ₹1410

Vaccines will now be available in private hospitals at this price, here are the rates fixed by the government
What happened to the claim that the vaccine was cheaper than a bottle of water?
The cost of getting vaccines in private hospitals has been fixed by the government. He is considered too much. Indian Biotech Chairman Dr. Krishna Alla had said that we will give the vaccine at a cost less than a water bottle. Now the question is arising that what has happened that instead of giving a dose at a price less than water, more than Rs 1400 is being charged. At the same time, Serum Institute of India Chief Adar Poonawalla had said that he is getting profit even after giving the vaccine to the government for Rs 150. But now people have to pay very high price for these vaccines. So now this issue is heating up.
