New Delhi: The Punjab Police has made a big disclosure in the case of the Ludhiana District Court blast on Thursday. According to ANI, Punjab DGP Siddharth Chattopadhyaya has told that the person found dead in the blast was a former police officer who has been identified as Gagandeep Singh. He reached the court with explosives. Investigations have revealed that he was dismissed from service in 2019 and was in jail for two years following his arrest in a drug-trafficking case.
News agency ANI reported that, the DGP said, Gagandeep was bailed after being in jail for 2 years and his trial was going on. It is expected that in jail he transitioned into Narcotics then Mafia and then Drugs. Its links have been found with Khalistani elements, terror outfits, mafia outfits and narcotics smugglers in Punjab and abroad. The deceased (main accused) was a suspended head constable of Punjab Police and was arrested by the STF in 2019 for narcotic drugs.

Chattopadhyay said that, the Ludhiana blast was a very powerful blast, we got a lot of leads from the spot. We found a tattoo on the hand of the deceased, after inspecting the spot, we felt that the deceased was carrying explosives. On investigation, we were convinced that this is true.
